We arrived in Rome yesterday...to our second campsite of the trip. The whole camping aspect of our trip is completely random...but nicer than some hostels...were just way out in the middle of nowhere...on the tiber river in the outskirts of rome. Its kind of nice though...we can go into the city, but also have the quiet of the country.
Today we did our first bit of sightseeing in Rome...the collosium and surrounding area. I can deffinately say that today was one of the best days of the trip...awesome stuff. Theres still quite a bit of ruins around the collosium area. Amazing.
anyways...im not really in a blog my life type of mood...so thats the update for the day!!!

Glad you made it to rome. On my ipod, i set my clock to rome time a couple days ago, because I figured that was the closest city you were at, but i didn't realize you were there! how fun. :) I'm in Virginia Beach right now. It's really humid. And I am chuckling to myself, thinking about how your tendrils would look like Monica's when they went to barbados or wherever that was. :) haha
BTW whenever i write "your tendrils" i feel kind of creepy. I think i'll stop that.
So last night was the night that Elisabeth and I spent at the Sloans and I have to say that I didn't sleep a wink! I had way too much room in the bed and no one that was coughing in my face all night. Geeze how is a girl going to sleep in the quiet? Mystery to me...since I didn't. haha Anyway I have to go. Melodi is having her Bridal Shower today...I'm so stinkin excited to go! I love it when all the gateway people give me 20 questions about things that are really none of their business. Just joking I'm sure I'll live. Have a fun time in Rome and take some pictures for me! Love you.
kristen...just so you know, the humidity over here is pretty nasty too...needless to say that my tendrils have been safely secured back on all occasions!!! im so jelous that you are seeing the east coast!! and im truly honored that you set your clock to rome time...on the 26th i head to athens...so youll have to move it up again!! love you and have fun!!!
kelley...im sorry i wasnt there to hack you to sleep...all in good time though. (if anyone else is reading this im sure i sound completely creepy and wierd...such is life!!) you will survive the bridal shower somehow...becuase there is such a new crop of gateway-ites...it shouldnt be too bad...other than certain people which shall remain nameless. love you!!

The bridal shower was fine...my mom and I stayed one hour that's all...they weren't too happy that we were leaving but oh well, like you said such is life! The only thing that compeletly drives me crazy is the "I'm Blessed" you know who this is...Get a new pharse I am sure there is something else in the Bible that you could be...( I could make a really bad comment right now about a talking ass but I won't, that wouldn't be nice) Anyway I am counting down the days until the 4th! it's gonna be good...I just love your dad in July! My 4th's will never be anything else but Cooper style! See ya later have fun in greece!
